• Hello, my name is Graeme Moignard.

I'm a self-employed IT consultant focusing mainly on full-stack Web Development and I have more than 20+ years experience.

I'm based in Jersey, United Kingdom. Willow Software is my alter-ego / online trading name. If you would like me to help out or hire me for any web design or development tasks, big or small, just let me know.

My charges are low cost hourly rates for small issues or an agreed fixed amount for larger projects.

    My Services

I won't waffle on with glorious sliding pages and shiny stuff to show off, this is what I can do and do it very well:

    • Fix existing problems with HTML websites "static" as its called in the industry, or Content Managed websites ("CMS") This includes backend coding issues in PHP or databases, as well as the pretty HTML web pages themselves!
    • New HTML websites from scratch, your average 5 to 10 page "static" website with your branding, a contact form and other required add-ons.
    • New Content Managed websites, they use a database and PHP coding; and are far more indepth at what can be done with them.
    • Proper PHP coding help, I can fix existing code thats not working properly or write new programs to do all sorts of things.

  • RETAIL & PRIVATE BANKING

I started my career at Barclays Bank after leaving secondary school in 1991, spending over six years from cashier, phone support, Personal banker, then managed to move to Information Technology as I liked helping the I.T. team and they could see I was more useful working with them. Then I worked at Lloyds bank for a number of years.

UBS AG, the Swiss private bank, I spent another 5+ years there, I did an awful lot of day to day IT stuff and was on call to fix any issues that came up over night. Used and learnt about OpenVMS servers and scripted in DCL (Digital command Language) Also dabbled in a bit of COBOL.

    PURE SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT

A cool startup called Coconut Software took me on as a trainee Java developer, my first taste of OOP programming. I also learnt "more than the basics" of PHP, Perl, Javascript and mySQL databases.

I spent my time there developing JSP (Java server pages) based commerical client sites, converting Perl scripts to PHP scripts and setting up and configuring Red Hat Linux servers.

    INTERNET & NETWORK SECURITY

I like the security side of IT, so took a gamble and moved to Evolution. Pretty much had a ball learning about the security side of IT (pretty important these days!) I was involved in client PCI compliance, developed an app in PHP/Ajax/mysql to control Nessus scans and write reports. Plenty of Pen testing, Symantec reporting and maintained the in-house secure email hosting cluster.

When there, I temporarily moved to an associated company called Fortress Managed Services and was involved in developing a pretty cutting edge global portal using REST.

    E-COMMERCE

I spent a few years (on and off) working for feelunique.com, maintaining their custom built system, which included warehouse apps, stock, reporting, analytics, product feeds as well as the actual website viewable to the public.

WILLOW SOFTWARE - From 2015 onward

I decided to become an IT consultant to enjoy a better work/life balance to spend more time with my children so devised Willow Software as my trading alias. My priority is home life and I work from my home office, but I make sure I keep some "me time" to code and help out existing and new clients.
